 RECRUITMENT FOR FACULTY I (SUPER SPECIALIST (ENTRY LEVELlI SENIOR RESIDENT/JUNIOR RESIDENT (ON CONTRACT BASIS)

Applications are invited for the post of Faculty, Super Specialist (Entry Level), and Senior Resident & Junior Residents at ESIC Medical College and ESIC Medical College Hospital Sanathnagar, Hyderabad, Telangana. The details of vacancies and reservation position are as under:



-: Anticipated Vacancies

1.These  vacancies  are  provisional  and  may  increase  or  decrease  subject  to  (a)  Recruitment  process  for Associate Professors on Direct Recruitment basis by ESIC Headquarters, (b) Recruitment process for Assistant Professors on Direct Recruitment basis by ESIC Headquarters, and (c) the actual requirement for the patient care. The competent authority reserves the right of any amendment, cancellation and changes to this advertisement as a whole or in part without assigning any reason or giving notice in the interest of patient care.

2. The dates of interview as mentioned against the department are final and no change will be made.  The names of shortlisted candidate will be displayed in the ESIC unified website and no personnel   intimation   will  be given.  The candidate has to make necessary arrangement for attending the interview.

3. As per ESIC Headquarters Memorandum No. l-11/12/3/2016/MC-Faridabad/MEC   dated 22.01.2018 and l-
11/12/3/2020/PG Basai/ME CEl  dated 28.10.2020, to comply with phase wise minimum MCI requirements;

a)Candidate with  eligibility for  a  higher  post (Professor/Associate  Professor) would  be permitted to  be interview against a lower post (Associate Professor/Assistant Professor)

b) In event of selection of such candidate, the candidate would be considered for the placement with suitable upgradation of the lower post as per eligibility; and recommendation of the selection board.

c) The upgradation would be temporary and limited to the tenure of the teaching faculty/until the appointment of regular faculty in the lower post.

4.  Reservation will be as per Government of India guidelines issued from time to time.

5.  In case suitable Economically Weaker Sections (EWS) candidates are not found, these posts will not be carried forward/or considered as backlog vacancy. Hence, Unreserved (UR) candidates may be allowed provisionally to apply against EWSs posts advertised through above referred advertisement who may be considered incase suitable EWSs candidate are not found to fill up these posts reserved for EWSs.

6. In   case   of   non-availability   of   reserved   category   candidates   in   the   post   of   Professor/Associate Professor/Assistant Professor, the vacancy may be filled up, for less than 45 days, under UR category for fulfilling the urgent requirement of NMC (MCI)/DNB .

9.As per NMC TEO dated 14.02.2022 regarding "Determination   of equivalence  of the qualification   of   DNB (Broad  Specialties)  with  MD/MS and  DNB (Super  Specialties)  with  DM/M.Ch"  -The Diplomat of National Board (DNB) in broad specialty and super specialty qualifications when granted in a medical institution with attached hospital or in a hospital with the strength of five hundred or more beds, by the National Board of Examinations, shall be equivalent in all respects to the corresponding broad specialty (MD/MS) and super specialty (DM/M.Ch) postgraduate qualification, but in all other cases, senior residency in a medical college for an additional period of one year shall be required for such qualification to be equivalent for the purposes of teaching.

ELIGIBILITY CRITERIA:


d) For consolidated   emoluments   no  other  allowances   like D.A,  N.PA,    HRA  etc. would  be payable.

e) Certain   specialties    are  there   for  which   non-medical    officers   are  hired   for  teaching    colleges   like  Statistics, Anatomy,    Physiology,    Pharmacology    etc.  Such  faculties   may  be  engaged   at  same  rates  as  for  medical   teaching faculty  except  that their  consolidated   remuneration   will  be arrived  after  reducing  the element  of NPA.

f) No Private  Practice  is allowed  during  the tenure  of service  in ESIC.

TERM  OF CONTRACT:

a)The  initial  period  of contract  for faculty  will  be for 01 year,  extendable   every  year  up to a maximum   of 03 years or 70 years  of age, whichever   is earlier,  subject  to satisfactory   performance.    Barring  unsatisfactory    performance the  incumbent   would   serve  the  initial  first  year  of  contract,   independent    of  regular  faculty  joining   during   this period.   However,   the  contract   would   be  terminable    on  one  month   notice,   on joining   of  regular   faculty   in the
2nd/3,dYl3Sr  of contract.

b)The  Medical  College  Hospital  is starting  DNB Courses  in the  Super  Speciality   departments.    In view  of starting  of DNB  Super  Speciality   Courses,   the  contractual   tenure   in respect   of  Super  Specialists   is for  a period  of three years.    The  contractual   tenure  would  be extendable   yearly  basis  on  satisfactory   performance.       Priority  will  be given  to the  Consultant   (Super  Speciality)/Super    Specialists   who  have  applied  for Full Time  Super  Specialist.

c) The  tenure  in respect  of Senior  Residents   (3 Yrs)  on contract  basis,  the engagement   will  be initially  for 01 (One)
year  extendable   every  year  up to three  years  on satisfactory   performance   and conduct. d)    The  tenure  in respect  of Senior  Residents   (1 Yr) is for one year  only.

e)The  tenure   in  respect   of  Junior   Residents   is for  a  period  of  one  year  or  up  to  closing   of  academic   session whichever   is earlier.

f)The  Contractual   engagement    may  be terminated   1 discontinued    on either  side  giving  one  month  prior  notice  to this effect  without  assigning   reason.

g) Other  terms  and conditions   will  be applicable   as issued  by competent   authority  from  time  to time.

Terms   & Conditions:

1)  In case,  the  selected   candidate    resigns,   he/she   has  to  serve  one  month   notice  period  or  have  to  pay  one

The minimum sum assured per annum should be

a) Rs 30 lakhs: Anesthesiologists, Cardiac Surgeons, Neuro Surgeons, Plastic Surgeons etc. b)  Rs 20 lakhs: for General Surgeons, Gynecologists, and Obstetricians etc.

c)  Rs 10 lakhs: for Physicians, Dentists, Radiologists, Pathologists, Chest (Pulmonologists) etc.

d) A copy of the Insurance & Premium Receipt must be submitted within 7 days from the date of engagement.

e) Candidates selected to the post of Professor, Associate Professor, Assistant Professor and Senior Resident, and Junior Resident, have to deposit an amount of Rs. 1, 00,000/- as security deposit at the time of joining. The security deposit will be forfeited in case;
i) The selected candidate resigns/leaves within 06 months of joining.
ii) The selected candidate resigns/leaves after 06 months of joining but fails to fulfill the Notice period conditions.

g)Every candidate will receive a system generated unique reference number after successful submission of the form along with marks scored (Residents &  Specialist applicants) which will be used by the candidates for further references.

h)Short listing of the candidates will  be done on the basis of Aggregate  score, overall experience  including research work and/or NEET (SS) Score-2022  for Post Graduates (The short listing will be done based on the receipt of applications for the particular post/category/department)

i) Shortlisted candidates should produce all the original  documents   in respect of all the parameters filled in the
online application form, for scrutiny on the day of Interview.

j) Shortlisted candidate who fails to produce documents (for all the filled  in parameters  of online  submission)
or provides false information   or any other action contrary to law shall lead to debarring the candidate   for

SELECTION PROCEDURE:

I.All eligible candidates should apply in the application format ONLINE only on or before the last date of submission of online application i.e. 16. 01.2023 (6 P.M.) No offline application is allowed.

II. The list of shortlisted candidates will be uploaded on the website www.esic.gov.in   two days prior to the date of interview.  The details are available in ESIC web site. Short  listed  candidates  will  not be intimated  by letter  or by Email.

III.On the day of Interview, the eligibility of candidates reporting for the recruitment process will be determined through document verification and eligible candidates will be considered for the selection process which will be as follows; .

For the post of Professor/Associate   Professor:  Based on Objective Criteria assessed through document verification and personal Interview.

For the post of Assistant  Professor:  Based on Objective Criteria assessed through document verification and
Objective type written examination (Spotters/MCQs).

For the' post of Super Specialist  (Entry Level): Based on personal Interview.

For   the   post   of   Senior   Resident/Junior     Resident:    Based  on   Objective  type  written   examination
(Spotters/MCQs).

IV.  The results of the Interview will be uploaded on the www.esic.gov.in and no enquiry or correspondence  in this regard will be entertained.

V.   Offer of appointment will be provisional subject to verification of original certificates at the time of joining.

VI.  Candidate should furnish correct information with all necessary original documents mentioned in the online form.
Those who provide wrong information will be debarred.

VII. List of shortlisted candidates displayed on the website will be in the order of the reference number and not in the order of scores secured.

VIII.The final selection will be purely based on total marks obtained in the selection process. IX.  Selected candidates will have to join immediately after receipt of an offer of Appointment.

X.  The shortlisted candidates will be called for the interview will be in the ratio of 1:10. Short listing will be done on the
following parameters:
Group A. Total aggregate score Group B. Teaching experience. Group C
Sc.oring for short.listing.  of candidates  for the post of Senior .Resident:
 
ii. Distinction:   02 points each for each distinction

iii. Gold medal:  10 points each for each gold medal (Candidate should produce documentary proof at the time of Interview)

B. Experience  (From NMC(MCI) recognized  medical college  only):

•   At the rate of 05 points for the completion of each full academic year
C. Co- curricular,  extension  and professional  development  related activities:
•   01 point 'for each activity

Note:  Please include only those  co- curricular activities for which  documentary proof or any certificate  is available from any State / National level organisation or any recognised Institute. Inability to produce document at the time of verification will lead to lead to cancellation / rejection of application.

D. Research and academic  contributions:
i. Research publications: 05 points each for Pub-med indexed journals ii. Conferences/ Workshops (Paper or poster presented/organized)

Note: Evidence of paper / poster presented at conferences or documentary proof of being part of organizing committee of conference or workshop have to be shown during document verification. Mere attendance  of conference  will  not  be considered.  Inability to  produce  document  at the  time  of  verification  will  lead  to cancellation / rejection of application.

E. NEET (Super specialty-2022)  Score and Rank
NEET score does not carry any marks and percentage of NEET score will be used as one of the parameters for short listing of the candidates.

XI.  The above mentioned criteria for short listing of candidates for the post of SR & JR shall only be for the purpose   of calling candidates for the interview and marks scored will not be carrying forwarded for personal interview.

XII.  Every attempt will be made to upload the marks on the website www.esic.gov.in on the same day of the interview. E. GENERAL CONDITIONS:-

i. Mere submission of online application does not confirm eligibility criteria or confer any right to the candidate for
selection.

ii. Online score of the applicants  is system generated;  it does  not confirm the scrutiny of the documents  or eligibility of the candidates for the post.

iii.   A candidate  should  submit  only  one application   for  one post.  In case,  candidate  wishes  to apply  for more than  one post  then  he/she  must  apply  online  separately,  generate  application   10 separately  and must  appear  with  separate  sets  of application   forms,  documents   and  testimonials,   photographs   and separate fees for each post applied  for. No photocopies  will  be arranged  by the office.

iv.  Application  should  be  submitted  online  in the  prescribed  format  and  all fields  are  mandatory.  No  offline
application is allowed.

v. Only shortlisted  candidates  should appear for  personal  interview.  On the  day of  Interview, the  shortlisted candidates should produce No Objection Certificate (NOC) from present employer.

vi. The candidate  shall  bring a printout  of PDF of the application   generated  for the applied  post.

vii. The candidates who have applied for Full time super specialist can opt for Part time super specialist and vice­
versa during the interviews in the same department.

IMPORTANT    DATES:

•The ESIC reserves the right to cancel the recruitment process at any stage at its discretion and such decision will be binding on all concerned.

•  Candidates in their own interest are advised not to wait till the last date and time to submit their applications.
ESIC Medical College shall not be responsible if candidates are not able to submit their applications due to the last minute rush.

•This Medical College is not responsible for any discrepancy in submitting details through online.  The applicants are therefore, advised to strictly follow the instructions.    The particulars  fumished by the applicant  in the application fonn will be taken as final and further processing of the application will be based on these particulars only.  Frivolous representations/clarification made through any correspondence without reading the instructions given in the advertisement will not be entertained.

WARNING: Applications which are not in conformity with the requirement will be rejected.  Merely fulfilling of requirements as laid down in the advertisement does not qualify a candidate for consideration.   No correspondence will be entertained with candidates not selected for appointment.
